Innovation Improvement Development Framework (IIDF)
The IIDF provides a practical framework from which healthcare organisations can identify gaps in, build and sustain desired levels of innovation and improvement capability. It identifies the combination of key knowledge, skills, attitude and behaviours needed at all levels (individual, team, organisational), to make change and improvements happen and sustain. By investing in building these combinations of knowledge, skills attitude and behaviours, healthcare organisations will have the strongest potential to deliver quality, safety and cost improvements at scale and pace.
This tool has been developed to help you and others in the organisation get a better understanding of the current levels of improvement capacity and capability that you have, and to map this against the levels you are striving for. The tool will then show you your gaps in capacity and capability, and helps you to consider the training and development that needs to take place to fill those gaps.
The tool also allows assessment of team and department capability across your organisation to create a graphical report of strengths, gaps and areas for development.
