Sharing ideas, inspiring change - the potential benefits of Health and Social Care Awards finalists to the wider NHS.

Among the finalists for the 2009 Health and Social Care Awards were many examples of new and different ways of working that have improved quality for patients and increased productivity and efficiency.  The NHS Institute has investigated the potential benefits for the NHS if the practices of a number of the finalists were scaled up and rolled out across the service.  These are featured here.

These should only be seen as exploratory and indicative of the potential benefits on a wider scale.
