Project Description:

Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Trust have introduced ‘pillars of governance’ involving staff from all clinical areas. It is a result of partnership working with the NHS Institute's Delivering Quality and Value (DQV) programme.

This robust structure ensures more effective participation and involvement from all staff. It will lead to improved ownership of quality issues among all clinical teams. Any audit activity or project is undertaken within the action teams and information is cascaded into Trust-wide governance meeting. Lessons learned are identified, incorporated and disseminated to improve clinical practice and the quality of care.
