What we do

Improvement Faculty Events are a great way for Fellows to learn, connect and be inspired by the best national and international improvement experts. The Improvement Faculty has in the past sponsored an annual programme of events and attends conferences to share our expertise. Events included an annual two-day conference, a series of one-day master-classes, webinars and regional sharing experiences.

e Faculty

Fellows have exclusive access to the e Faculty: A specially designed online environment where Fellows can connect and learn. Special features of this space include a searchable directory of Fellows profiles and their improvement projects, a Knowledge Portal of improvement resources, an events calendar and access to an Improvement Faculty Linked-In Group.

Mentoring and Coaching

We encourage Fellows to become mentors and coaches to colleagues within their organisations. This is about empowering Fellows to share their improvement knowledge and build their own improvement networks. In doing so Fellows spread the improvement capability they have gleaned from involvement in the Improvement Faculty for the benefit of their organisations and patients.

IHI Open school (England)

The Improvement Faculty has a special relationship with the IHI Open School (England) providing our Fellows with the opportunity to mentor student health professionals and to forge networks with Open School Chapters. In 2012 the Improvement Faculty ran a series of joint Improvement Faculty and Open School events to showcase the work of the Faculty to open school students. We hope that there will be further opportunities in the future to connect Fellows with local Open School Chapters.
