Today’s NHS is attempting change at a scale and pace never experienced before. Across many healthcare communities we are simultaneously trying to develop new structures, design new care processes and alter the embedded patterns of behaviour across many staff groups. Change across these three dimensions of ‘structure, process and patterns’ is often both complex and demanding, requiring new leadership skills and techniques.
