The NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement website is now being administered by NHS Improving Quality - the Productive Series and other products are still being provided by Delivery Partners and supported by NHSIQ, and all material relating to the Productive Series is still accessible.

The NHS Institute closed on 31 March 2013. If an item you are looking for is not available here, you'll be able to see all publicly available content on The National Archives website:*/

NHS Live and Healthy Places, Healthy Lives

The NHS Live and Healthy Places, Healthy Lives (HPHL) teams at the NHS Institute are working together to demonstrate how HPHL supports public sector partnerships in their challenge to reduce health inequalities and improve population health.

Participation and membership of HPHL enables the accelerated take up and learning from experience, best practice and improvement science to influence commissioners, providers, Health and Wellbeing Boards, and partners in the public sector, and meet the challenges of addressing health inequalities within their own environment.

The HPHL 2011/12 offer draws on the learning and experience from a series of pilots run in 2010/11, involving 25 partnerships across the country, as well as other support agencies working on reducing health inequalities including the Marmot team, the Health Inequalities National Support Team and the Local Government Group (LGG) as a local authority partner.

Work undertaken by the HPHL pilot partnerships will soon be available on the NHS Live project directory.
