The Productive Community Hospital

Update: The Productive Community Hospital NEW

Although the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement has now closed The Productive Community Hospital programme will continue to be fully supported by our accredited delivery partners, whose contact details are available here.  The Productive Community Hospital box set is still available.Productive Integration

The Productive Integration guide will help you and your team work through issues such as understanding other people’s roles, attitudes and shared values, whilst focusing on the patient through a workshop which is designed to aid integration of teams.

The guide is designed to provide assistance in bringing either two or more teams or an already integrated team composing of various disciplines together, in order to explore opportunities to improve integrated care by joint working on Productive modules. It is suitable for use across all of Productive programmes.  For more information please click here. The Productive Community Hospital: Releasing time to care™

The Productive Community Hospital: Releasing time to care™ builds on the success of the Productive Ward. Around 80% of trusts have already signed up to the Productive Ward programme. Against this background, the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement has been working with nurses and therapists to develop ways to increase the amount of direct care time given to patients in community hospitals.

The Productive Community Hospital programme is designed to help achieve this by improving the effectiveness, safety and reliability of inpatients, day hospitals and minor injuries units.

Sites that have helped develop and test the programme report that their expectations have been exceeded and that their staff have been empowered and enthused to make challenging changes to the way they work.

Adopting The Productive Community Hospital will enable local providers and commissioners to compare the performance of their local community facilities with that of others, learn from the best and make positive improvements for patients.

Support packages

We have carefully selected two delivery partners to support and guide you through the programme.  These are:

KM&T
Shaping Health International.

All delivery partners involved in the support of The Productive Community Hospital have been comprehensively trained and are supported by a rigorous quality assurance structure.
